English Program
Mission Statement: The English Program supports academic excellence and the diverse needs
of CSU-Pueblo students by offering several major and minor choices
designed to help students to understand the discipline, specialize in
areas of interest to them, strengthen their verbal and written
communication skills, complement other areas of study, and enter the
professional realm with the strong critical thinking and writing skills
valued by today’s employers.
The various curricula and all English Program faculty promote freedom of expression, inclusiveness and diversity, integrity and mutual respect, accountability, innovation and civic responsibility. Faculty focus on student success and inspire learning through excellence in teaching and continued research.
Why English?
A major or minor in English at CSU-Pueblo provides direct access to many
careers and the solid foundation necessary to pursue further study in
other areas.
